I’m a passenger residing in the luxurious first-class cabin – courtesy of points spent on an upgrade! Yay! But alas, my very first experience of flying in such opulence is being slightly marred by rather strong turbulence. One of my fellow passengers has clearly had enough.

Passenger: “This is simply absurd! I fork out good money to fly first class, and I shouldn’t have to endure all this jolting around!”

Cabin Crew: “I’m truly sorry, sir, but regardless of which cabin you’re in, there’s really nothing we can do about the turbulence.”

Passenger: “Well, you should! I pay good – “

Cabin Crew: “– good money, yes, but I feel compelled to ask, precisely what should we do to prevent the turbulence, sir?”

Passenger: “Fly the plane in such a manner that only those at the back feel it!”

Cabin Crew: “You want us to shift all the turbulence to the rear of the plane?”

Passenger: “Finally, she gets it. Why on earth do they have someone like you serving in the first-class cabin when you can’t even cater to first-class passengers? They should have you working at the back where the turbulence is supposed to be!”
