The LA skyline was the stage for an astonishing message from a pilot soaring above the city, and thank goodness he had a skywriting rig, yet it seemed he had no radio. But with quick thinking, this message came to be. We hope it truly worked. Seriously! This message was the brainchild of comedian Kurt Braunohler, who raised the funds for it on the fundraising site Kickstarter. In fact, he exceeded the $3,000 he aimed to obtain for the project by a significant margin. We hope he makes good use of that money for even more messages!
According to LAist, which covered this story, Braunohler takes pleasure in playing pranks on people by doing things like leaving notes supposedly from the author in books at used bookstores. Braunohler hosts the popular podcast Bananas and has appeared on Comedy Central, This American Life, and Radiolab. And now, an update. It turns out this happened quite a few years ago. So our question is this: What could be a better time for Comedic Skywriting: Part Deux!
